Private Nature Reserve monitoring plan commencing 2011 and on-going
Establishment of a basic habitat condition evaluation system by means of 12 fixed-point photographic monitoring sites and vegetation transects which, coupled with rainfall figures and animal numbers, forms the basis of the annual ecological carrying capacity and stocking rate recommendations. This process guides animal numbers, ratios between feeding classes and animal off-take on the property.
